CITEL uses GTIN code in the label of the smallest package

This means that around 1875 products will get a GTIN code.

But what is a GTIN code ??

GTIN means Global Trade Item Number. GTIN are managed by one world-wide company called GS1. GS1 manages all these item numbers and gives each company a unique user ID. CITEL is going to use GTIN-13. GTIN-13 is a 13-digit code allocated for one product. EAN-13 is the barcode calculated from GTIN-13.

We have decided to have GTIN-13 (and EAN-13) at unit pack level.
