New surge protectors for PCB mounting

Surge protector requirements of PV inverter manufactures have evolved. To save the space in the cabinets, they have decided to replace DIN rail SPD by mounted SPDs: these ones are designed to be mounted directly instide the inverter, soldered on the internal PCB.

To comply this new request, CITEL has developed two dedicated product ranges : PAC and PPV

PPV range

is designed to protect the DC side of photovoltaic inverters. The single pole module must be soldered on a PCB, in parallel on the DC network.

  • Type 1+2 surge protector (Iimp: 6.25kA, Ucpv up to 1500 Vdc)
  • Type 2 (Imax: 40 or 25 kA, Ucpv up to 1800 Vdc)
  • Remote signaling
  • EN 50539-11 and IEC 61643-31 compliance

PAC range

is designed to protect the AC side of photovoltaic inverters. The single pole module must be soldered directly on the PCB, in parallel on the AC network.

  • Uc: 420 Vac or 680 Vac
  • Imax: 10 or 20 kA
  • Remote signaling
