Surge protectors for radiocommunications equipment

Radiocommunication systems which are connected to an antenna are especially exposed to lightning strikes. The maximum risk is a direct strike on the antenna pole. Equipment such as GSM/UMTS or TETRA base stations must be protected from this risk in order to ensure service continuity. CITEL offers three specific surge protection technologies for Radio Frequency (RF) communication lines that are individually suited for the different operational requirements of each system (Filter, GDT and quarter wave).
